Remains of a structure were also
found, its wooden roof charred and collapsed. As excavation progressed, a
residential layer dating back to the end of the 2000 BCE era came to light,
straddling the Canaanite and Phoenician periods—an era that had previously gone
unrecorded in the archaeological history of Sidon.
Les vestiges
